Chapter 19: The Final Destiny Of Antichrist
Revelation 19:19-20 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the Earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with him the False Prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshipped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the end of the violent seven year career of the Antichrist. He and his cohort the False Prophet will be thrown alive into the lake of fire where they will remain for all eternity. Satan will be imprisoned for one thousand years while the true Messiah, Jesus Christ rules on the Earth. Revelation 20:1-3 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. The Lord will then put Michael and the armies of heaven back to work. They will lock Satan away in the abyss, and he will not be able to deceive mankind for a thousand years. The abyss is not the lake of fire, it is a temporary prison that presently contains many powerful demons. Some of the demons that are imprisoned there now, will be released to torment unrepentant mankind during the tribulation period, and to gather the armies of the world to Armageddon. After the one thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from the abyss for a short time to test those people who were born during the Millennium. Daniel 7:13-14 "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed." Daniel 12:3-4 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." We are today, approaching the time of the end, and God is increasing our knowledge so we will be able to understand the books of Revelation, Daniel, and all unfulfilled biblical prophecy. Daniel wanted to know more about the things that he had seen, and when they would happen, so he asked the angel to explain more to him. But, he was told to go his way because the prophecies were for a distant generation, for those people who would live in the last days. Daniel 12:9-10 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, "My Lord, what will the outcome of all this be?" He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand. We are the last generation, and if you are one of the wise you will understand these prophecies and will not be deceived by the Antichrist when he arrives on the world scene. |
