He became a computer hobbyist in 1978 and began using computerized bible programs for prophetic study in 1989. Shortly after beginning to use computerized bible study methods he was asked to teach a biblical prophecy in a local Church. For use the purpose of teaching this class he put together and later copyrighted the material now called "Countdown to 6000.” Personal Note From the Author; I have written this in a manner that presents a number of possibilities for fulfillment’s of future prophecy, as this is a non-denominational teaching guide. The main emphasis is on learning what the scriptures state will happen in the future. My own opinions are presented as food for thought, not as though they are a certainty. In places where the bible is silent or where information is sparse I have attempted to use the best non-biblical material available to fill in the gaps in order to shed more light on a particular topic. This book is for those who desire to know more about a subject that will in the future affect everyone on our planet. Preface
God has promised that in the last days biblical knowledge would be increased. (Daniel 12:9) many discoveries have been made in the last 100 years that have given us a new understanding of the bible. Archaeology, the dead sea scrolls, and new translations of existing literature, Have all served to make end times bible prophecy, and particularly the book of Revelation more understandable. Modern science and computers have also played a large part in the knowledge explosion. Computerized concordances have revolutionized systematic biblical studies. By the use of one "keyword," every verse with any particular word, letter or number combination in it can be found in a matter of seconds, without the possibility of overlooking even one of them. This book utilizes all of the latest discoveries and techniques to research the book of Revelation, and place the events described in it in the order that they are most likely to occur. The order in which they have been arranged and organized within this book is based largely on how each verse fits together with every other verse in the bible that pertains to the same subject. The purpose of this book is to give those who wish to study end times biblical prophecy a clearer understanding of the events, and the order of those events, that the Lord has promised to bring to pass on the Earth in the near future. Psalms 14:1 "The fool says in his heart, `There is no God." Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him." Hebrews 11:6 "And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. One prerequisite to understanding God's prophetic plan for the future is that you must believe that a higher power than man exists, and that he will reward those who diligently seek him with wisdom and knowledge and understanding of spiritual things. Proverbs 8:10-11 Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all Godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. |
